| Formed by four talented musicians equally devoted
to performing as well as educating, the Iris Quartet has
presented concerts in some of New York's finest venues
since 2007. Named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow,
the Quartet brings to its performances a colorful blend of
four diverse personalities and backgrounds. In addition to performing, each member is involved in teaching their respective instrument, and also in teaching music appreciation to audiences new to classical music. While each has trained at New York's most renowned music schools, formative studies in Albania, China, Japan, and the United States also inform their musical interpretations. Iris is excited to be performing in this award-winning theater that is an integral part of the heart of the East Village theater scene. |
